Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of geckon ("the Service"). By accessing or using geckon you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

2. User-generated content

You retain ownership of the reviews, business descriptions and photos you submit. By submitting content you grant geckon a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display and distribute that content as part of operating the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and warrant that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe third-party rights.

3. Prohibited conduct

Do not post false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful or unlawful content. Do not impersonate others. Do not scrape, mirror or republish the Service in bulk. Do not attempt to disrupt the Service.

4. Moderation

All business listings are reviewed by our moderators before becoming public. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our sole discretion if they violate these terms.

5. Business listings

Business owners are responsible for keeping their listing accurate. Pricing, hours, contact information and offered services must reflect reality. Misrepresentation is grounds for removal.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. geckon is not a party to any transaction between users and listed businesses, and we make no warranty about the quality, safety or legality of services advertised.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, geckon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
